The guys at Poseidon Diving embody this with warmth and enthusiasm and a tremendous amount of diving experience. It is a beautiful spot to complete and IDC and a wonderful location to be exposed to decades of diving experience. Sri Lanka is also booming as a diving destination which puts you in a great position of job opportunity when you choose to complete your instructor training with us in Sri Lanka.
What do I need to prepare for the IDC?
With a booking for your IDC we will send you access to our on-line learning so that you can review divemaster theory with practice exams and study notes for Physics, Physiology, Decompression Theory, Equipment and Skills & Environment. On the on-line learning there are also standards knowledge reviews to start getting familiar with your instructor manual, plus video presentations to help guide you through how to give academic, confined and open water presentations, as well as skill demonstrations. Great if you get the opportunity before arriving to jump in the water and practice your rescue in-water resuscitation and skill demonstrations.
Wreck Diving Instructor course Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is a great destination to train as a Wreck Diving Instructor. Since 1973 the founder of Poseidon Diving Station discovered 17 shipwrecks around the south of Sri Lanka. Our best known and loved wrecks are the SS.Rangoon, SS. Conch, Earl of Shaftesbury, Orestes, Alliance and Arcturus. There is even a fascinating museum at the dive center of notable ship wreck finds. Add the Wreck Diving Instructor to your IDC package and you will get the chance to dive on these wrecks.
